Facts
Dervla (which means "daughter of a poet" in Irish) is married to actor Rupert Penry-Jones. For many years she provided the sexy voiceover on the Marks and Spencer food commercials ("This is not just food, this is Marks and Spencer food"). In 1999, Dervla co-founded a company called Aware International with actress Mina Anwar, which manufactured underwear called Secretpockets aimed at the discreet use of condoms - the women's were called The Force and men's Downunderwear. Profits were intended for STD clinics, but the company was dissolved in 2003. Dervla is a distant relation of Irish patriot Michael Collins.
